I learned that some of you need some instruction in the art of FTP'ing.
It is very simple. Below you will see what you normally would find at one of the 'on-line' FTP tools:
(You insert the data in the text areas)
URL: --------------------------> URL you wish to upload (*4)
FTP Host ---------------------> ftp.250free.com
FTP DIR ----------------------> Directory/Folder you want it saved (*1)
RenameFile-(optional) ---> You are able to rename it (*2)
FTP UserName ------------> YOUR 'user' name (*3)
FTP Password -------------> YOUR password (*3)
Send/Transmit/Transload/Upload---->'Click'
Notations:
(*1) - You can leave blank - file will arrive in your Main Directory
(*2) - Do NOT forget to use the correct 'extension' (Don't think you can just change a 'gif' to a 'jpg' and get away with it)
(*3) - Case sensitive.
(*4) - Normally, any of your 'basic' extensions: gif, jpg, wav, mid, html.
(I have never tried it with any other)
Once an html file arrives in your File Manager, it becomes like any other HTML file there. You can edit it, etc.
WARNING: Be careful what you name files that you are uploading. You may be sending a new file to a folder which already has a file with THAT same name. You will lose the original file - it will be REPLACED with the file you just uploaded.
WARNING: IF the html page has any images/audio, etc. You will have to upload THOSE to your 250Free account and change the url's in the page.
Some sites allow you to 'save values' for future use, comes in handy when you are uploading a number of files.
